| Listening | Students understand conversations - provided they are spoken slowly and clearly - - everyday words and expressions as well as - questions relating to their immediate situation (e.g. family, studies, environment) or their personal interests and needs. |
| Reading | Students will be able to : - find specific information in simple everyday texts (e.g. simple letters, diary entries, CVs)- find the essential information in simple texts on familiar topics, e.g. in - adverts (e.g. flat adverts/flatshare adverts) - short newspaper or magazine reports or websites/blogs |
| take part in conversations / speak coherently | Students learn - to describe their education/studies - to explain what they like and dislike about something (e.g. about a profession, a city) - make comparisons - describe in simple terms their daily student routine and past activities (events and background information) - ask and answer questions about events in the past The students also practise - taking part in short conversations on topics of their interest - describing past activities and personal experiences and giving appropriate time information. They also learn to - describe their home or various objects, for example. - to talk about their plans and the future in general - to express wishes/ideas - to formulate suggestions, e.g. how to improve a situation |
| Writing | Students learn to describe events, past activities and personal experiences in the form of simple linked sentences, e.g. in the form of a diary entry or a personal letter. They are also able to- write a simple CV about themselves - write a simple text about aspects of their own environment (e.g. advantages and disadvantages of a profession or a city) - write short descriptions of aspects and objects of their own environment Formulate suggestions. |
