Erasmus+ Key Action KA131 - Erasmus+ programme generation 2021-2027

Spend a week looking over the shoulders of the press officer at the Universidad de Vigo? Exchange ideas with librarians from all over Europe at a Staff Training Week in Helsinki? Brush up on your English at a language school in Limerick?

Erasmus+ supports further education and training programmes in other European countries (Erasmus+ area) for academic and non-academic staff in a variety of ways:

Possible stays abroad

Staff Training Weeks are group events organised by universities, usually lasting around one week. Some of these Staff Training Weeks are aimed at all university members, but many are aimed at specific professional groups, e.g. librarians, finance specialists, career service staff, etc.

You can search for Staff Training Weeks on the Erasmus Staff Training Platform Imotion http://staffmobility.eu/ and on the overview page of Staff Training Week offers that we have received from European universities and training providers. Please note the application deadlines and modalities of the respective providers.

Job shadowing in the same/similar field of work

  • Language courses
  • Further training, e.g. on project management, acquisition of third-party funding, etc.
  • Work shadowing in a company/institution

Similar to funding within the Erasmus area with programme countries, there are also funding opportunities outside the Erasmus area with the so-called partner countries.

General conditions

  • Eligible persons and conditions of participation: Persons who are in a contractual employment relationship with UPB. A teaching assignment or fee contract is not sufficient.
  • Possible duration of the training and further education programme: 2 to 6 days (excluding travel to and from the event) (if the funding takes place as part of a BIP: 5 to 6 days)

Financial support

  • The allocation principle is "first come, first served"
  • Erasmus+ funding is limited. In general, the application deadline is at least 6 weeks before the start of the mobility programme. However, for better planning of Erasmus+ funding, we ask that you apply early.
  • Full funding (per diems) for up to 6 days of stay (teaching days at the host organisation) and
    • 0-2 travel days for arrival/departure by flight, boat, car
    • 0-6 travel days for arrival/departure by sustainable means of transport (green travel): Train, bus, car-sharing and other sustainable means of transport. Example: If the host organisation is so far away that you have to travel 2 days by bus, you can apply for 4 additional travel days for the outward and return journey.

Project 2024-26: valid for trips until February 28th 2026

Financial support and country groups
