The Welcome Services for international researchers and employees organised a networking format for international colleagues at UPB on 28 August under the title ‘Potluck Picnic & Outdoor Games’. The event started at 5 p.m. in summery temperatures on the lawn of the Jenny Aloni Guest House with various outdoor games organised by University Sports. Participants had the opportunity to compete against each other or play together in games such as spike ball, table tennis and cornhole.
As the evening went on, the event then moved to the International Meeting Centre for dinner. The idea of the ‘potluck’ is that each participant prepares a dish and brings it to share. Thanks to the great commitment of the participating colleagues, a colourful buffet of dishes from different cultures was created.
The evening was rounded off with a quiz prepared by Athul Krishna and Dhruva Sambrani, in which the participants were able to test their knowledge on various topics such as geography and science in four rounds. The Welcome Services would like to thank all colleagues for their attendance and participation and is already looking forward to upcoming networking events.
