Re­gis­tra­tion for the DSH Course

1. Registration Period

The registration period for the April 2025 course will take place from February 3rd to March 3rd, 2025. Please check your inbox and spam folder regularly for updates and important deadlines.

2. Course Format

The courses in April 2025 will be conducted in person. If you are unable to attend in person, we recommend postponing your admission.

3. Documents for Registration

Please send the following documents exclusively as PDF files by email to the specified email address. Make sure to include your matriculation number in the subject line so that we can correctly assign your documents.

For international participants:

3.1 Required Documents:

  • Admission letter
  • Completed and signed application form for registration
  • ID (e.g., passport or residence permit)
  • If applicable: Power of attorney (completed and signed in original) and copies of the ID cards of the grantor and the attorney
  • Proof of payment for the semester fee and course fee: Please submit two bank statements as proof of the transfer of the semester fee of €279.60 and the course fee of €500.00.
  • Important: Please include your matriculation number, first name, and last name in the payment reference. Otherwise, the payment cannot be assigned.
  • For refugees: Please contact the NRWege Consultation Service regarding funding opportunities before making the payment for the course fee.
  • Please note that the payment must be made to two separate bank accounts.

4. Mandatory Online Placement Test

Before the course begins, an online placement test will be conducted to assign you to the appropriate proficiency level. Since the course specifically prepares for academic German, the course level assignment may differ from language certificates you may have obtained from other institutions.

Participation in the placement test is mandatory. Further information will be sent to you via email by the Faculty of Cultural Studies after the registration deadline.
