Talk to students and take part in real lectures: This is possible at the Campus Day at Paderborn University. On Thursday, 16 January, pupils and prospective students can look forward to a varied programme from 8 am to 2 pm. Whether International Business Studies, Physics, Linguistics, Electrical Engineering or a teaching degree programme - with over 120 offers, visitors can get a taste of various degree programmes and obtain valuable information on course content, career prospects and study requirements. Prior registration is not necessary. Pupils who would like to take part in the Campus Day can be exempted from school fees. Further information can be found on the event page.
"Our Campus Day is the perfect opportunity for pupils who have not yet looked into the subject of university to start the process of study and career guidance. Shortly before the half-year reports are issued, this is a good time to take a closer look at your own professional future," says Cinderella Welz, employee of the Central Student Advisory Service (ZSB). "We recommend that participants use our app to find out about the programme in advance and create a list of favourites. That way, they can get started right away."
In addition to information lectures on the degree programmes and participation in regular courses, the ZSB offers lectures on study conditions or admission requirements. In the university foyer, students from various departments will provide authentic insights into their everyday life as students, talk about challenges and successes and answer personal questions about studying. In addition, the Student Services Department (BAf?G) will be on hand to answer questions about financing your studies. Prospective students with a health impairment, disability or chronic illness can find out about support options on site. There are also tours of the campus, where visitors can get to know modern laboratories, lecture theatres and libraries as well as student work areas and sports facilities and get a realistic impression of institutions and campus life.
